Chemicals America: Tradeshow Recap
The Specialty & Agro Chemicals America tradeshow in Savannah, GA has come and passed. Boaz Partners was in attendance represented by Wes Washington and Jason McCabe. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and wanted to highlight a few key observations from discussions at the show from various attendees and clients:
- The Job Market remains strong with the need for Commercial talent on the rise. There has been a 20% increase in the Commercial roles that our firm has worked on this year.
- The 2023 Specialty & Agro Chemicals America experienced a record-breaking number of attendees.
- Companies reported revenues with a saw tooth pattern performance. The variability of revenue has made forecasting for the back half of the year difficult. Companies reported that the burn-off of additional stock will lead to restocking later in the year which could increase product demand.
- The venue change from Charleston, SC to Savannah, GA provided more open space and a change of scenery. An industry that is hesitant to change but quick to adapt, made good use of the ferry system.
