Senior Process Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for press molding processes, coordination of projects and new product launches. Administration of company policies and procedures designed to improve operating performance including reduction of scrap and increasing efficiencies as well as other cost reductions on a company-wide basis.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team.
- SMC press molding processes and procedures.
- Lead new product launches.
- Able to properly and safely use tools necessary to perform job requirements.
- Audit production processes to standard job write ups.
- Troubleshoot product defects to determine appropriate short term and possibly long-term modifications to the process to prevent recurrence of the defects and determine the root cause.
- Support daily production, work with production supervisors, production leads, and all other support groups to conduct trials, experiments, and collect and analyze data.
- Assist with training new teammates, new job start-ups, mold tryouts, material trials, and process adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Background Profile
- 3+ years of experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically within process engineering roles.
- Experience with IMC (in mold coating) a plus.
- Knowledge of the tooling process and mold cleaning/small repair.
- Must be familiar with and will use Microsoft Office products in their daily work for e-mail communications, report writing, data collection, and data analyses.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead others and work independently while coordinating with teams and management.
- Applicant must be capable of communicating effectively both in writing and verbally in the English language.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
